A man has been given four months in prison for prowling and breach of probation. 43-year-old Remi Doucet got credit for time served after his arrest on the 13th, and pleaded guilty. Police were called about someone trying to open car doors in the Broadview Avenue area.

CBU, Faculty Association to bargain again next week
CBU and its faculty Association will head back to the bargaining table next week to try to finally settle on a new contract.
The university’s Board of Governors rejected the last tentative agreement, mainly because of the process with which it was negotiated, which resulted in the firing of CBU president David Wheeler.
The Faculty Association is in a legal strike position now but is hoping it can reach an agreement without job action. Prof. Andrew Reynolds told the Cape Breton Post a layoff clause is the key issue.
