Verdict delayed in pastor’s trial in the Valley

A judge in Kentville has delayed his decision in the gross indecency trial of a well-known Toronto pastor.

Judge Alan Tufts says he needs more time to decide the fate of Brent Hawkes. He underwent trial in the fall on accusations of indecent assault and gross indency in connection with incidents at his trailer in Greenwood when he was a teacher in the 1970s.

Tufts will now deliver his verdict January 31.
