A woman was taken to hospital from a car-pedesterian accident yesterday morning in the 700 block of the Bedford Highway.
The woman was not in a marked crosswalk and the vehicle didn’t have time to stop. The 48 year old pedestrian’s injuries were not life-threatening…and she’s been given a ticket for crossing the road outside of a crosswalk and failing to yield to traffic.
Ottawa is spending $66 million to build a new armoury for the Army Reserve.
Construction has already begun at Willow Park and is expected to be completed by the fall of 2018. The new armoury will include administration and training facilities, an outdoor compound for military vehicle fleets and facilities for storing and maintaining equipment.
Meanwhile upgrades continue at the old Armoury across from the Common.
