A 30 year old Valley man will be in court today on attempted murder and aggravated assault charges.
RCMP were called to a residence on North Street in Middleton Friday and found a 28 year old woman with life-threatening injuries. They arrested Timothy Lake who will be in court today.
The tanker that ran aground off the coast of Little Pond in Cape Breton is now secured at a dock in Sydney Harbour.
The Coast Guard says it took more than 100 people, several government agencies, a salvage company and resources from all over Atlantic Canada to free the Arca 1 yesterday. Two tugs hauled the tanker off the sandy bottom where it had been stuck for a week. The Coast Guard says there was no indication of any pollution or fuel leaking from its tanks.
