Various Cape Breton charges

One suspect has been released on conditions after a stabbing last weekend. A second remains in custody.

21 year old Clayton David Baker of Westmount, will be back in court February 22nd to enter pleas on aggravated assault and other charges.

His co-accussed 21 year old Jacob Blair Rudderham of Point Edward, is also facing aggravated assault and other charges in connection with the incident which happened last Sunday, the day before he was sentenced to two years in prison on drug trafficking charges.  He’ll be back in court today to enter a plea on these newest charges.

New Waterford heist

One of two people charged in the armed robbery of the French Club in New Waterford last October has pleaded guilty.

34 year old Michael Daniel Campbell, who remains in custody, will be sentenced in March.

Co-accused 21 year old Jenna Corrine Heffernan, of Gardiner Mines, will be in court in march for a preliminary hearing on charges of armed robbery and breaching court order.
