The province is considering a mid-winter holiday for February like other provinces and would call it Family Day.

Premier Stephen McNeil wants teachers to know he’s committed to improving classroom conditions…says there is money to do it. However, McNeil is also frustrated with the time it’s taken to reach a tentative agreement. Helieves this latest deal does responds to classroom concerns.
However, many teachers say it doesn’t after getting a look at the tentative contract this week. They’ll vote on it February 8th.
