Parking meter fines to stay same for now
Parking meter fines won’t be going up in Halifax for now. A doubling from $25 to $50 was suggested by municipal staff last month, but council has approved the mayor’s motion to kibosh that. Mike Savage says local businesses haven’t been asked for their input, and downtown construction is hurting some as it is.
