Irving going to court over private-woodlot handling

Irving is taking its issue with how private woodlots are managed to court.  The Telegraph-Journal reports it filed in December, saying the Southern New Brunswick Forestry Marketing Board favours the SNB Wood Co-operative, unlawfully giving it regulatory power.  The case is in court on the 21st.

Cat okay after being in moving car’s engine

A cat is okay after being in a moving car’s engine. Gypsy crawled into an Echo Drive resident’s vehicle to keep warm, being discovered when the driver stopped for windshield washer fluid. The Times & Transcript reports she was taken to the SPCA, and is okay aside from burned paws. The organization reminds you it’s good to smack your hood or honk before you drive in the winter, just in case this happens.
