Prime minister Justin Trudeau was in the Acadian Peninsula yesterday.
Trudeau praised the efforts of all those who pitched in, due to massive power outages caused by a recent ice storm.
Without going into details, he said the federal government will be there as people rebuild their lives.
The Construction Association of P.E.I. is worried about an industry forecast that predicts a growing shortage of construction workers for the Island.
BuildForce Canada is estimating 300 more workers will be needed in the next decade, and currently more skilled workers are retiring than being hired.
Some local contractors are finding it almost impossible to find skilled people in different trade sectors, which can delay projects.
