Management of the Cherry Brook Zoo near Saint John say they’re worried. If city council approves a recommendation that would mean cuts to the zoo’s annual funding, they say it could put the zoo’s future in jeopardy. Council will vote on recommendation on Monday night which would increase the Zoo’s property tax up to 10-thousand-dollars without providing any further financial assistance.

Loblaw (Superstore an No Frills) Issues Baby Food Recall
The parent company of Superstore grocery stores has issued a recall of baby food due to the threat of possible food poisoning. Loblaw, whic also owns the Loblaws and No Frills grocery chains, has recalled it’s President Choice Organics brand Green Pea, Apple and Blueberry strained baby food. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency classified the 128 millilitre packets of the baby food with the expiration date of October 31st, 2017 as high risk. The Agency says the baby food may contain bacteria known to produce botulism – which can lead to serious illness and paralysis.
