Last month’s fire at 203 Charlotte Street in Saint John is now being called arson. 61 year old Carmen Samuel Tessier of Harrington Street, has been charged in connection with the blaze. His election and plea will be February 23rd. One woman was treated for smoke inhalation.

Woman Charged for Allegedly Assaulting Toddler at NS Daycare
One woman is facing charges after a three-year-old child was allegedly abused at an unlicensed daycare in Enfield, NS. RCMP say the 55-year-old woman was arrested after receiving a complaint on January 31st. The toddler reportedly suffered bruising as a result of the alleged assault. Police say a woman arrested on Friday was an employee of the daycare facility. She’s since been released on conditions and is expected to appear in court next month.
