A 61 year old man has been charged with one count of possessing images of child sexual abuse.
The RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit searched David Pugh’s home in Oromocto and arrested him. He’s been released on coinduitions and will be back in court March 20.
The teachers contract passed third and final reading at Province House with the Liberal majority pushing it through and the opposition MLAs voting against.
The bill puts an end to the work to rule campaign by teachers, although Teachers Union president Liette Doucet says it’ll be up to individual teachers to decide what extra work they will do other than what is outlined in the contract.
Outside Province House, Premier Stephen McNeil and Education Minister Karen Casey’s limo was surronded by protestors as they tried to leave and it was several minutes before police could clear a path.
