Sentence for joke gun pointing

A Moncton man has been sentenced for concealing a weapon.  38-year-old Christopher Calvin Larocque admitted to jokingly pointing a pellet gun last June 25th on St. George Street.  He got a joint recommendation of a three-month conditional sentence with a month’s house arrest, plus a year’s probation.

Wellness Week guest speaker at James M. Hill High

The JMH Student Council, in partnership with alumni and the Rotary Club of Chatham, are hosting a guest speaker for Wellness Week.  Mike Veny, one of America’s leading mental health speakers, will speak tomorrow night at 7.  The presentation is being held in the school theatre, and is open to the public.
