21 vehicle-pedestrian collisions happened in Halifax in January. It was down one incident year over year, and down two month over month from December. Police say 16 accidents occurred in crosswalks, with 8 pedestrians not hurt and 8 suffering minor injuries, 2 had moderate injuries and 3 didn’t report injuries to police.

Second arrest made in 2016 Clayton Park shooting
A second arrest has been made in a shooting last March in Clayton Park. A man went to hospital after the incident, which happened around 2am on the 6th. A 16-year-old Dartmouth boy faces attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and other charges. 19-year-old Terrance Treshon Brooks of Cole Harbour was previously charged.
