Dalhousie council will borrow money for two capital projects. The town will apply for a total of $140,000 for Brunswick Street Phase III, and $585,000 to upgrade the sewage lagoon. Motions were passed at last night’s special meeting.

Suspended sentence after fight with father
A Squaw Cap man got a year-long suspended sentence with probation for a fight with his father. 36-year-old James Alexander Archibald admitted to grabbing his father’s throat last July while they argued. He was confronted about taking his father’s vehicle and not refilling the tank. The sentence was a joint recommendation.
