Sears Canada will start a liquidation sale on Friday at stores in Bathurst, Saint John; and 57 other locations it plans to shut down.
Bathurst will lose eight full-time jobs and 38 part-time positions with the closure.

Dead whale in the Gulf of St. Lawrence
Another dead North Atlantic right whale has been found in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
The DFO also said that another whale had been spotted, entangled in fishing gear east of the New Brunswick shoreline, but alive.
Due to the danger of entanglement in fishing gear, snow crab fishing has been halted in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
