Tomorrow, Miramichi Meat in Nordin will celebrate 65 years in business.
Miramichi Meat will have an anniversary party on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the store.
There will be a barbecue from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., along with an anniversary cake; and prizes and specials on all day.
Mayor Adam Lordon told The Leader that he hasn’t heard any complaints, since Miramichi city councillors decided to hold fewer public meetings.
Last summer, council eliminated the weekly public committee meetings, and replaced that with more closed-door briefing sessions.
The next public meeting of Miramichi city council will be next Thursday, July 27 at 7 p.m.
