17 year old Laura Dickinson of Miramichi, has won gold at the 2017 Pan American Under 20 Track and Field Championships in Peru.
Dickinson won the gold medal in the 5,000-metre race.
She also broke a New Brunswick provincial under 23, junior; and senior record.
Greg Masters, the manager of the McDonald’s restaurant in Miramichi; has won a 2017 Manager of the Year Award.
He got the nod for his exceptional performance as manager.
That honour is awarded to only 10 per cent of the best managers, nation-wide.
