NB Power is still trying to determine why the lights went out yesterday for about 9,000 customers in the southeast part of the province.
There was a technical problem with a transformer at the Memramcook transmission terminal which knocked people offline in parts of Dieppe, Memramcook, Shediac, Cap Pele, Sackville, Dorchester and Grande-Digue.
The youth mental health unit at the Moncton Hospital is closed temporarily because of a staff shortage, according to CBC.
It’ll be a few weeks before Horizon Health can hire staff for the four bed unit. Hospital officials say beds have been opened on another unit for temporary treatment while the main unit is closed.
