Railcar plant on the way

A Chinese company that wants to set up a railcar manufacturing plant in Moncton estimates it’ll be worth a million dollars annually just in local  tax revenues, according to the Times and Transcript.

CRRC Meishan, a subsidiary of the state-owned China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation, said the long-term goal is to assemble freight wagons and services to clients across Canada and eventually the U-S. It expects about 200 jobs initially…but still hasn’t said when the plant will open on Humpyard Road.
