New use for old jail…make it a B&B

A century-old jail in Dorchester is being converted into a Bed and Breakfast.  Six cells are now available for bookings on the Airbnb housing website.

Bill Steele bought the jail in March for almost $160,000 and plans to renovate the building to make the experience as authentic as possible, according to CBC.

The jail was the site of the last double execution in the province…the Bannister brothers who were hung there in 1976 for a triple murder in Moncton.
