Two Moncton councillors want more detailed RCMP crime stats

Two Moncton councillors told last night’s Codiac Regional Policing Authority annual meeting they wanted more detailed crime stats.  Bryan Butler – a former officer himself – and Shawn Crossman say the more we know about where crimes happen and what’s being targeted, the more vigilant we can be.  The RCMP are apparently indeed looking to break stats down further.

Prostitution sting

Codiac RCMP have arrested nine men in a prostitution sting in downtown Moncton.

The nine, ranging in age from 19 to 74, are charged with attempting to buy services from sex trade workers in the area of St. George and Dufferin Streets Wednesday afternoon and evening. The nine men, from the greater Moncton area, have all been released and are due in court August 25th.
