A judge has reserved decision on how long a Moncton man will spent in prison for attempted murder.
The Times and Transcript reports 39 year old Luc Robert Lebreton pleaded guilty earlier to attempted murder and other charges in connection with the incident in November 2015. He hid outside a woman’s house with a gun and texted her to try to get her to come outside. Then he fired several shots at her. He was knocked unconcious by the woman’s son when he went into the house.
The Crown wants Lebreton to serve 12 to 14 years in prison. Defence has suggested 5 to 7 years. The judge will issue her decision January 13.
