A high school teacher in Riverview has been nominated for the world’s richest teaching award.
Armand Doucet, who teaches at Riverview High School, has made the top 50 list for the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize for 2017. Doucet has already won provincial and national awards for his teaching methods. A release from the Varkay Foundation there were 20,000 nominations from all over the world. The winner will be announced in Dubai in March for the top prize of $1.3 million.
