Shepard assault case in Miramichi adjourned

21 year old Marissa Shephard was in court in Miramichi briefly yesterday but her plea on an assault charge was postponed. Her lawyer wanted more time.

Shepard is accused of assaulting a correctional officer at the New Brunswick Women’s Correctional Centre in Miramichi where she has been held in connection with the death of Baylie Wylee. She’ll be back in court January 23th to enter a plea on the assault charge.
