The first baby born in the province for Canada’s 150th birthday year was in Miramichi.
Douglas John Pilon-Brown was born at 2:23am yesterday morning to Amanda Quinn and Rodney Pilon-Brown at Miramichi Regional Hospital.
The first baby in Canada was reportedly born at one second after midnight in Toronto, Eastern Standard Time…although there was one in Halifax and one minute past midnight…Atlantic time.
Codiac RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing couple from the Moncton area.
30 year old Ashley Perry of Riverview and 34 year old Duncan Mullin of Moncton were last seen December 23. It’s believed they may be travelling together in a black, 2008 Kia Majentis with New Brunswick license plate GTF 615.
Family and friends have not heard from them since the 23rd and police are concerned for their well-being. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP.
