Miramichi Police will be making two presentations regarding illegal drug activity in Miramichi.
The first one will be this coming Monday at JMH, the second is on Thursday at MVHS; both meetings are open to the public, and start at 6:30 in the evening.
Just after ten thirty last night, due to a tip from the Contraband Tobacco Unit; Miramichi police stopped a vehicle on Route 8, Bathurst Highway.
Over 40,000 contraband cigarettes were seized.
A 45 year old man from out of town is up on criminal code charges for possession of illegal cigarettes.
His vehicle was also seized under the proceeds of crime legislation.
