A car-pedestrian accident in Bathurst has left a 67 year old woman dead.
She was crossing St. Peter Avenue Monday night when she was hit by a car.
Police say she was not in a crosswalk when she was hit by a car driven by a 20 year old man.
No name has been released, and the investigation continues.
Those on the other side of the Anderson Bridge are happy that the federal and provincial governments have finalized a 94 million dollar project to build a new one.
The 64-year-old bridge was shut down to a single lane of traffic.
Engineers from the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure did so due to structural concerns with the bridge.
Construction of the new bridge is expected to start in 2019.
