The Xtreme CCNB Race won’t be held in Bathurst next year. The downhill skating event debuted in 2015 and became part of Redbull Crashed Ice, but volunteer fatigue is playing a role in cancelling it. This year’s event was also a no-go due to a thaw that ruined the ice.

Route 11 crash kills one
A Petit-Rocher man is dead after a head-on collision yesterday in Bouctouche. The 48-year-old’s SUV hit a tractor trailer around 3:15pm on Highway 11. The latter driver suffered minor injuries, and the cause is still under investigation.
