Canada’s Irish Festival on the Miramichi gets underway this afternoon, with the official opening ceremonies at six tonight; followed by a pub night starting at 8.
The festival is at the Waterford Green today and tomorrow, and then Middle Island on Sunday.

Tomorrow, Miramichi Meat in Nordin will celebrate 65 years in business.
Miramichi Meat will have an anniversary party on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the store.
There will be a barbecue from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., along with an anniversary cake; and prizes and specials on all day.
