The draft for the MHL will be in Miramichi at the Rodd Hotel for the Timberwolves Thursday through Saturday June 8th to the 10th.

The draft will be in the afternoon of that Saturday, and is open to everyone.

In addition, there will be a golf tournament on Friday June 9th at the Miramichi Golf and Country Club.

A Vimy Oak sapling has arrived from Ontario to Doaktown as a part of the Vimy Foundation’s Vimy Oaks initiative.

This year is the 100th anniversary of the Great War and the battle which claimed thousands of Canadian lives.

The sapling will be planted at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch Number 23 in Doaktown this afternoon at 3.
