Seniors and Long-Term Care Minister Lisa Harris says she’s hopeful alternate uses for the city’s two nursing homes, which will close upon the completion of a new 240-bed facility; can be found, that; according to The Leader.
Both existing homes will be shut down to make way for the new public-private partnership (P3) operation, which will be a net gain of 26 nursing home beds in the city.
