Rick Shalala, a morning show host at 99 -3 The River back when it was CKMR in the 1960’s, has passed away.

Shalala, a Campbellton native; died from heart failure in Fredericton.

For the 150th anniversary of Confederation, Miramichi Transit is offering free rides on Canada Day fom 9am til 4 pm.

There will be some route changes due to the Canada Day Parade.
