Kentville Mouthy Drunk

A Kentville man has been sentenced to an additional 60 days in jail for mouthing off at two police officers who arrested him for public intoxication.

The Local Xpress reports David Charles Zinck has already served 68 days in custody since his most recent arrest.  This latest sentence is for an incident last October when police were called about an assault at a rooming house on School Street in Kentville.  They came out and found Zinck yelling and swearing at their empty cruiser.

Kentville Conviction

A Dartmouth man has been convicted in Kentville court of armed robbery, according to The Local Xpress.

19 year old Deion Malik Brushett was one of two men arrested after the holdup at the Irving Station on Highway 1 in Greenwich last May.  He’ll be sentenced later.  Court was told one of the crooks went behind the counter and held a knife to the clerk’s body threating to kill him if he didn’t hand over the cash.

Co-accused, 21 year old Trevon Longard, is still waiting for trial.
