The Nova Scotia Health Authority says that pediatrician recruitment for the Yarmouth hospital is a top priority.
They used to have two pediatricians, but one retired; and another relocated, which means there are no pediatricians at the regional health centre.
A benefit will take place tomorrow for Debbie Cavanagh-Amberman of New Minas, to cover the travel costs to Toronto for a double lung transplant.
It will feature live music and a ticket auction.
The benefit will be at the Greenwich Fire Hall from 1 til 4 tomorrow afternoon.
