The Windsor Agricultural Society is pushing an alternative, less costly; option regarding the proposed new Hockey Heritage Centre and arena.
The society proposed to build that complex at the Hants County Exhibition Grounds, which they feel would cost taxpayers less overall.
Society officials added that water, sewers; and everything else needed is right there off of a newly updated road with good access to the highway.
If the arena is built near Long Pond, roads and services, like sewers; will need big upgrades to meet the demand, adding to the costs.
