Year-over-year building values are up in Berwick for May, but down in Kentville and Kings County. Berwick had a total of $264,460 worth last month compared to $177,000 in May 2016. All three are down year-to-date compared to 2016.

SiRT brought in to investigate Pleasantville arrest
SiRT will investigate after an apparent injury during an arrest in Pleasantville. Lunenburg RCMP responded last Saturday afternoon to a man with a knife threatening to hurt himself. They say the man became aggressive and was tased, then treated on site by medics and taken to hospital. He has since said he hurt his arm when he fell, so RCMP have referred the case to SiRT.
