Charges for a Martock woman

32 year old Catherine Mary Kelley of Martock is up on charges in other areas of the province, including two counts of assaulting a police officer with a Ford Escape in Shelburne County.

Kelley is accused of trying to steal a vehicle, and committing mischief in Barney’s River, Pictou County.

She is charged with two counts of using a 2003 Ford Escape SUV in assaulting a police officer, dangerous driving and evading police in Allendale, Shelburne County.

She’ll be back in court on January 14th.

Valley apprenticeship award

Falmouth-based electrician Doug Burgess got the nod as an Apprenticeship Employer Champion.

The CEO of the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency, Marjorie Davison; told the Hants Journal that many champion employers are champions because they invest in apprenticeship, and they hire diverse apprentices.
