The homicide of Lynda Anne Comeau has been added to the province’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program. The Weymouth North woman was found in a Fort Point Road residence last September 1st. The program offers up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever’s responsible.

NKEC student gets scholarship for her studies at Dal
A NKEC student is the 2017 recipient of the Dr. P. Anthony Johnstone Memorial Entrance Scholarship. Shirley Hodder was awarded at graduation today in honour of her community leadership. She’s off to Dalhousie University in the fall. The scholarship is named for the late Tony Johnstone, a long-time educator and human rights advocate who devoted his life to promoting multicultural understanding and social equality.
