Legislation imposing contact on teachers delayed by weather
Premier Stephen McNeil finally postponed his plan yesterday to force a resolution to its contract dispute with teachers because of the blizzard.
The legislature was to have sat yesterday evening but McNeil postponed that until today.
The Opposition parties and the Teachers Union are condemning the plan to bring in legislation, saying it takes away teachers’ rights.
