A Lower Sackville used car salesman will be tried by judge alone for fraud. Darren Blumenthal is accused of writing a bad cheque when buying back a vehicle from a couple two years ago, leaving them on the hook. He allegedly agreed to buy it back and pay the bank loans if things went south, if they gave him another $11,500 for taxes and other costs.

Grabher told to remove AB plate with last name from front of vehicle
Lorne Grabher says police have now made him take a personalized plate off the front of his vehicle. The Dartmouth man had his last name on his regular Nova Scotia plate, but the Registry of Motor Vehicles revoked it after a complaint. The issue is going to Supreme Court, and Grabher told CBC he was contacted about the Alberta one, which his son also has out there, on Monday.
