At 9:27 yesterday morning Lower Sackville RCMP responded to a call of a woman who had been hit by a truck near the side of the road on Cobequid Rd. The truck left the scene following the collision. The woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS. The RCMP later arrested the driver of a black tractor trailer (car hauler) regarding its possible involvement in the collision.

Car Fire
Police are investigating a vehicle fire that occurred Thursday night in Dartmouth.
At 10:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of vehicle fire in the 200 block of Wyse Road where Halifax Fire and Emergency were already on scene and had extinguished the fire. Police were informed that an older white man had been observed across the street from the fire crouched behind another vehicle and appeared to be watching the fire. The man had left the area prior to police arrival and was not located. An incendiary device was also located next to the burnt vehicle. The vehicle has not been reported stolen and police are trying to reach the owner.
