A Halifax Regional Police officer was hurt following an incident yesterday afternoon at headquarters. A man was laying in the grass around 1:15, saying he needed medical help. He then got up and walked towards officers, then punched one after being told to sit down. The officer was treated for injuries, and 24-year-old Daniel Angus Ryan of Halifax faces multiple charges.

Wright Avenue overnight closures
An overnight closure of Wright Avenue is on as of tonight. That’ll be between Burnside Drive and Ilsley Avenue from 9pm-6am until the end of July. Work will continue once the road opens in the morning, so expect an altered centre line and stop-and-go-traffic.
