Four charged in home invasion

Four men have been charged in tuesday morning’s home invasion on Acadia Street.

A resident was treated in hospital and released. Police say the victim was apparently not the intended target.

21 year old Shaquean James Bowden and 19 year old Anthony Alfrado Corradini of Halifax as well as 28 year old Darcy Raymond Delbert Caldwell and 31 year old Kerry Lee Sampson of Windsor face multiple charges.

New Lieutenant-Governor named

A longtime justice of the provincial Supreme Court has been named as Nova Scotia’s next lieutenant-governor.

Arthur Joseph LeBlanc will replace John James Grant who was appointed in 2012.

LeBlanc is from West Arichat and a graduate of St. F-X. He earned his degree in law from Dalhousie and practised for more than 30 years. He was appointed to the provincial Supreme Court in 1998. He will remain a judge until he is sworn-in at a date yet to be announced.
