The Department of Justice has finished an internal review of the death of a Burnside jail inmate. He was found unresponsive in his cell last November 2nd, and died in hospital five days later. An autopsy found the cause to be a drug overdose. Corrections Services will work with Health Authority staff on protocols for dispensing medications and sharing information.

Public WiFi now available at Dartmouth Waterfront, Grand Parade
You can use public WiFi at the Dartmouth Waterfront and Grand Parade as of today. It’s also being installed on the Halifax Waterfront, and that’s expected to be ready in the coming weeks. The city has also launched an improved halifax.ca, taking feedback from residents on it.
