The Department of Justice has finished an internal review of the death of a Burnside jail inmate. He was found unresponsive in his cell last November 2nd, and died in hospital five days later. An autopsy found the cause to be a drug overdose. Corrections Services will work with Health Authority staff on protocols for dispensing medications and sharing information.
