An NDP bill to expand protection for public sector workers who speak out about wrongdoing in the workplace has gained support from the McNeil government.
Bill 60 expands on the previous NDP government’s Public Interest Disclosure of Wrongdoing Act, and includes government agencies, boards, and commissions – including teachers and nurses.
Halifax Transit is showing their appreciation and gratitude to those who serve our country by offering free transit to all veterans and military personnel, and accompanying family members, on Remembrance Day, Nov. 11.
Veterans or military personnel wishing to use the free transit service are simply asked to be in uniform or display their military identification upon boarding.
This offer extends to Halifax Transit bus and harbour ferry services, as well as registered Access-A-Bus users. Halifax Transit will be operating on holiday service on Remembrance Day
