A 17 year old youth is facing a number of charges, including attempted murder, after a stabbing at the Pictou Landing First Nation.

A 29 year old man from Belle Marche was found with stab wounds late Tuesday evening. He was taken to a hospital in New Glasgow with serious but not life-threatening injuries and he remains there.

The teen faces four charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault.

Almost 300,000 illegal cigarettes have been seized in Lower Sackville.

RCMP have charged a 53 year old man under the provincial revenue act and criminal code. They value the cigarettes as having a provincial tax value of about $80,000 and federal tax value of just over $60,000.
