The Native Women’s Association of Canada is raising concerns after the resignation of the executive director for the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. The association the latest resignation, along with others at the Inquiry, leave it fearful the whole inquiry could be in jeopardy.

New Tory leader touring Maritimes
The new Conservative leader Andrew Scheer has been touring the Maritimes over the Canada Day weekend. He, his wife and five children started off in new Brunswick, then PEI and are now in Nova Scotia.
Scheer told the Chronicle Herald he recognizes the Conservatives have a lot of rebuilding to do in Atlantic Canada but he’s up to the challenge. He says he’s here to promote Tory policies and how they would help the Maritime economies…but also to learn.
