Applicants for provincial government jobs now have an easier time. Job listings are being posted online.
Public Service Minister Labi Kousoulis say the new system is aimed at attracting the best candidates, reducing paperwork and allowing for quicker internal processing.
The winter sportfishing season is now open on freshwater lakes until the end of March.
Anglers with a 2016 general fishing licence can fish for brook, brown or rainbow trout, white or yellow perch and chain pickerel up to specified limits. One-day licences can also be purchased at a reduced rate. There’s also the annual open free fishing weekend February 18th to 20th where no license is required.
